I photograph families throughout Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and the surrounding South Florida area. Many of my clients come from nearby towns and sometimes from much farther away. specifically looking for a relaxed, refined approach to family photography that feels natural rather than overly posed.

And looking back at this session, I think that's exactly what we created for this family.

I first met this beautiful family a couple of years ago when they were visiting South Florida from out of state. One of my regular clients had given them my information, and we ended up having a beach session together in Boca Raton.

So when they reached out again during another visit to Florida, I was so happy to hear from them.

This time, they were a family of four.

Their little one, who was the baby during our first session, had now become a big brother. And he brought all the energy with him, in the cutest possible way. He was everywhere, running, exploring and keeping everyone on their toes. His personality was everything and honestly, it made the session even more fun.

There is something especially meaningful about photographing a family for a second time.

You get to see how much the children have grown. You remember the family from a few years ago, and suddenly there is a whole new little person to photograph. The photographs become more than just beautiful images from one afternoon. They become a way of seeing how a family changes over time.

For their first session, we photographed in Boca Raton. This time we chose Delray Beach. The beach gave us a beautiful mix of open shoreline, soft dunes sea oats, and that warm evening light that makes beach sessions here so special. We kept things relaxed and let the kids be themselves, moving between family portraits, playing, walking cuddling, and all the little moments in between.

And they looked beautiful, as always.

One of the things I love about photographing families at the beach is that the setting gives everyone room to move. Especially with little ones.

There doesn't need to be a perfect pose every minute. We can walk play, pick up the baby, chase a toddler, sit in the sand, and simply let the family interact with each other. Those moments often become some of my favorite photographs from a session.

For this family, that was particularly true.

Their big brother had places to go and things to investigate, while their parents were busy enjoying their new baby. There were plenty of moments that happened naturally, without anyone really thinking about the camera.

Those are the photographs I want families to have.

Not just a collection of everyone looking at the camera, but photographs that bring you right back to how this particular stage of your family felt.

For families visiting from out of town, a beach session is also a wonderful way to document a trip to Florida and create photographs that are connected to the place and the time you spent together.

But wherever we photograph, the location is really just the setting.

The people are what make the photographs meaningful.

And after photographing this family for the second time, now with a new baby and a very energetic big brother, I think that's what made this session so special.

A few years from now, these photographs will tell a little piece of the story of this time in their lives.

And I'm very happy I got to be the one behind the camera again.
