A Meaningful Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Family Beach Session

This family session came at a very special time for them, with their baby’s first birthday approaching and a big move to Europe just around the corner. After having to reschedule a couple of times because of unexpected circumstances and weather, we finally made it happen, just about a month before they were getting ready to move from South Florida to Europe.

They wanted photographs that would help them remember this chapter of their lives in Florida, while also celebrating their baby’s first birthday. So this session became more than just beautiful family portraits; it was a way to hold onto a little piece of this time together.

We spent the evening near Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, taking advantage of the soft coastal light and letting the session unfold naturally. There were plenty of cuddles, smiles, playful moments, and those little interactions with their baby that I know they’ll love looking back on for years to come.

I’m so glad we kept trying until we could make this session happen. They loved their images, and honestly, so did I. There’s something really special about creating photographs that become part of a family’s story, especially when they’re marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

It was such a beautiful way to celebrate their little one’s first birthday and their last season in Florida together.
